After a difficult couple of years for everyone running charity projects, it was wonderful to see so many people join us and support Nansato Nursery Trust in our first big fundraiser in a while!
The Edinburgh community rallied with tickets selling out quickly as over 130 people joined together for a family ceilidh to kick off celebrating our 15th birthday.
We had stovies by Kim Glegg and Nessie Chalmers and Nessie also baked a cake for the occasion, which was especially enjoyed by the little dancers! Jill Farthing and her sister Liz kept the children entertained with their very own tombola and the live band made up by Greame Davidson, kindly travelled down from Aberdeen to support us. Last but not least, a thank you to the army of bakers who made delicious treats!
We had some great raffle prizes donated and were so thankful for everyone’s support in getting behind the event and buying tickets for both the ceilidh and the raffle.
The charity has an annual cost of £12,000 to pay for salaries and the maintenance of resources and building upkeep so the £1,800 raised on the night will make a huge difference in helping towards this cost.
We are also incredibly thankful to everyone who supports the charity monthly, as this stable income is our backbone and the reason we are here today celebrating 15 amazing years of providing pre-school education to 4,500 children!
