Over the course of 2020, we have been reminded of how small the world is and how we all need to look after each other. Our friends in Malawi are also facing this unsettled time and making lots of changes to life.
The Malawian schools have been closed since April 21st in an effort to contain the virus. As a charity, we have been supporting our staff by continuing to pay salaries in full throughout the lockdown. The nurseries are preparing to open on Monday 12th October.
The staff and nursery committees have had a number of meetings and are preparing the classrooms to comply with the government requirements to help reduce the risk of infection. We are ever grateful to the staff for their hard work and dedication to the care of the children.
